Fridays and Sundays

1:30 pm – 5:30 pm

The Taste NY Market at Todd Hill is an exciting new destination and an opportunity to enjoy locally produced agricultural products!

Located at the historic Todd Hill Service Station on the Taconic State Parkway one mile south of Route 55, the Taste NY Market is a destination where motorists can stop for affordable food and beverages, and where commuters and local residents can purchase healthy ingredients for home cooked meals. It provides a showcase for local farms to highlight selected products, as CCEDC is working with local farmers to encourage new business growth throughout the area, sourcing products for the Market from New York farms, restaurants and small businesses.

Inside the year-round market, locally produced products include milk, eggs, cheese, yogurt, juice, ice cream, pastries, granola, and apple cider. Pantry items include maple syrup, honey, jam, fruit sauces, pickles, salsa and tomato sauce. Frozen products include farm-raised beef, lamb, pork and poultry items. Artisanal inventory changes periodically.

Outside, seasonally, a Farmers’ Market will open Friday and Sunday afternoons, June through October, to provide additional delicious fresh produce and a variety of other farm products.

The Market is operated by Cornell Cooperative Extension Dutchess County through a grant from the New York State Department of Agriculture and Markets. The state’s Taste NY program is opening up new markets for local farmers, beverage producers and other merchants.

If you’re a New York State agricultural producer interested in selling your products at the Taste NY Market at Todd Hill, call Cornell Cooperative Extension Dutchess County at 845-677-8223 ext. 115 or email : TasteNYToddHill@cornell.edu.

Maple Fields, the collection of three-bedroom townhomes in Orange County’s Middletown

MIDDLETOWN, N.Y. – Sales at Maple Fields show no sign of slowing down and with the busy fall selling season fast approaching, developer Baker Residential is fully prepared for the expected increase in buyer demand.

The homebuilder just released a new phase of three-bedroom townhomes at the collection of 196 residences shortly, providing even more young families the opportunity to receive affordable homeownership in a highly desirable suburban location in the Orange County, N.Y. City of Middletown.  The soon-to-be-released residences will be delivered as Maple Fields soars past the 60% sold mark.

Included in the new phase will be each of the community’s spacious floorplans, priced from $272,400. Homes range in size from 2,274 to 2,329 square-feet of living space and provide a long list of upgrades in the purchase price.  Buyers receive designer finishes, including 2 ¼” prefinished hardwood flooring on the first floor, gourmet-inspired kitchens with breakfast nooks, stainless steel kitchen appliances including the refrigerator, attached two-car garages, finished basement, and washer and dryer.

Earlier this summer, Baker Residential released a limited number of premium homesites which have been met with tremendous interest.   Located on the community’s eastern edge, the lots back directly up to a wooded 13 acre-plus conservation area that has been dedicated and can never be disturbed.  The townhomes also offer expanded decks and walkout basements to fully embrace the special suburban setting.  A limited number of these select residences still remain, priced from $281,900,

Homes at Maple Fields are perfectly complimented by on-site recreational amenities to complete the idyllic lifestyle at the community. Residents have access to a community clubhouse, tot lot, 1/2 basketball court and a sparkling outdoor pool which is now open.

When not enjoying the well-rounded environment at Maple Fields, homeowners can bask in the beauty of the community’s location with Middletown’s scenic rolling hills, heavily wooded terrain and tremendous open space creating the perfect suburban oasis.

Maple Fields’ combination of a close-knit, country-like neighborhood environment and affordably-priced homes filled with numerous upscale appointments has drawn many young homebuyers priced out of northern New Jersey and New York City, but seeking to remain near major business and entertainment centers.  The community is within close proximity to Route 17, Route 84, the New York State Thruway and express buses and trains into Manhattan.

The Maple Fields sales office is open daily from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. For additional information on the community, please call 914-461-9208 or visit www.maple-fields.com.  You can also find Maple Fields on Facebook, on Twitter, or read more about the community on the community blog.
