Wappingers Falls Spins Bowl threw nothing but strikes with the community as it recently announced the grand opening of the newly renovated bowling and entertainment center (formerly Holiday Bowl). The redesigned family entertainment center greeted local dignitaries at a VIP event to celebrate the new center in Wappingers Falls, off of Old Route 9.

Among the dignitaries present were Dutchess County Executive Marcus Molinaro, State Senator Susan Serino 41st District, Frank M. Castella, Jr., President and CEO, Dutchess County Regional Chamber of Commerce, Melaine Rottkamp, VP, Dutchess Tourism and Lori Sucich-Jiava, Town Supervisor, Wappingers.

“Everyone is excited to have the new bowling and family center open and ready for business here in Wappingers Falls,” said Bill Diamond, Co-Founder of Diamond Properties. “We spent months refurbishing the center and adding large projection video screens for the 20 lanes, new seating, a redemption arcade, foosball, billiards, private VIP room with 7 alleys, a bar (made from the wood of a bowling alley). The restaurant (The Alley Kat) features craft beers and delicious food, pizzas and other drinks. There is something for the entire family to enjoy at Spins Bowl.”

Dutchess County Executive Marcus Molinaro said, “In April, my daughter wanted her birthday party at Spins Bowl Poughkeepsie. Not only were we very impressed with the state-of-the-art upgrades but the variety of amenities and activities made it great for children and adults. We are grateful for Diamond Hospitality Group’s continued multimillion dollar investment in Dutchess County. With the opening of Spins Bowl Poughkeepsie earlier this year and the recent launch of their newest location in Wappingers Falls, residents and visitors will have the opportunity to spend quality time together in a fun and relaxing environment, all while supporting the growth of our local economy. They’ve created great destinations with an amazing experience!”

State Senator Sue Serino was also impressed with the new venue. “I grew up in Wappingers and used to bowl here. I love the way Spins Bowl has brought the alley back to life and really worked to create a space that people of all ages can enjoy and families can enjoy together,” said Senator Serino. “I commend them for remaining committed to investing in our local community and I wish them much success with this new endeavor.”

President and CEO of Dutchess Tourism Mary Kay Vrba said “We’re very excited about the opening of this second Spins Bowl location in Dutchess County.” Vrba added, “We are becoming more of a family destination and this beautifully renovated, top-notch facility provides another quality place for families to enjoy all that is Distinctly Dutchess. We wish Spins Bowl much success!”

There are now two brand new Spins Bowl centers in Dutchess County to serve the public- Poughkeepsie and Wappingers Falls. The investment by the Diamond Hospitality Group for both properties, well beyond $6 million, speaks to the confidence that Mr. Diamond and his company has in the vitality and opportunity that presents itself in Dutchess County as business growth, particularly among small business, continues to flourish throughout the area.
