The Hudson River Valley Ramble is an annual event series that celebrates the history, culture and natural resources of the Hudson River Valley National Heritage Area, as well as the amazing landscape, communities, and trails throughout the region. Every September, ‘Ramblers’ come not only from the Hudson Valley region and New York State, but from other regions of the country as well to discover the riches our Valley has to offer.
The 18th Annual Ramble will take place on September 2/3, 9/10, 16/17, 23/24, 30 and October 1, 2017!

Join the Orange County Chamber of Commerce and HONOR as we host the 19th Annual Orange Open Golf Tournament at the beautiful West Hills Country Club in Middletown, NY. Your participation in this event will not only be enjoyable but will also benefit HONOR an organization that helps citizens in Orange County who need it the most. Compete in the Corporate Challenge for the Rowley Cup, or enjoy a relaxing day on the course. The tournament is open to all skill levels as there will be three games determined by skill, played on the course throughout the day. There will be lunch, dinner, and a cocktail party with awards.
HONOR (Helping Others Needing Our Resources) is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization located in Middletown, NY. They provide services such as adult and family shelters, a youth shelter, permanent housing and support services to individuals with HIV/AIDS, transitional housing for homeless, single women as well as addiction and case management services. The goal for all these services is to help people become independent and self-sufficient by providing the help, counseling and services they need to get themselves there.
By committing to a sponsorship at the 2017 Orange Open, a portion of your donation will go directly to HONOR to support their cause and help their mission. Your gift may qualify as a charitable deduction for federal tax purposes, but as always, consult with your tax professional. Applefest is Orange County’s largest fall festival. Situated less than 10 minutes from the Orange Regional Medical Center in Middletown, N.Y., Southgate Middletown has become a popular residential address for the many student resident, doctors, nurses, and others relocating to the historic Hudson Valley to work at the state-of the-art hospital.
Such was the case for Lisa and Peter Romoff and their dog Ollie. The couple had been enjoying the bright lights of Manhattan in an Upper East Side apartment until Peter was assigned to Orange Regional Medical Center for his residency in internal medicine. With the primary condition they wanted to stay close to the medical center, the former New York City residents began a search of apartments in Orange County that offered the kind of luxury, space and amenities that fit their lifestyle.
“We researched apartments and single-family homes that were closest to Orange Regional Medical Center, including Sterling Parc at Middletown,” Ms. Romoff says. “We came across Southgate online.
