First Apartment Phase at Southgate Middletown Fully Leased; Pre-Leasing Underway for Next Section of 200 Upscale Homes

Developer Sterling Properties announced today the initial apartment phase at Southgate Middletown has reached the mark of 100% leased.

With leasing for the first phase fully executed, the developer is now launching the next section of over 200 one- and two-bedroom rental homes at the popular community in Orange County, N.Y.’s City of Middletown.  Pre-leasing for the new apartments is underway, with initial occupancy expected in December.  Interested prospects can now schedule special “Hard Hat” tours and preview the newest phase by calling 845-343-2820 to schedule an appointment.

“The first phase at Southgate Middletown was an unmitigated success as we were able to demonstrate to renters the quality, luxury, lifestyle and value offered at this community,” says Nick Hollenbeck, Director of Sales and Marketing for Sterling Properties.  “As we neared the end of our leasing program for phase I, we began to see increased demand for this new offering of homes which will boast the same condo-style floorplans, tremendous location and amenity-rich environment.  Judging by the initial response, we fully expect similar leasing velocity in phase two.”

Southgate Middletown has made its mark in the Hudson Valley with one- and two-bedroom residences boasting high ceilings, soaring living spaces and some of the largest layouts in the Orange County marketplace. Continue reading

Prost! Oktoberfest Events

bberbros-01bebd5dvia HVMag – It’s time to bust out your lederhosen and welcome Oktoberfest, a traditional German fall festival that’s perhaps better known to most Americans as the biggest beer fest of the year. The celebration dates back to the early 19th century, intended to celebrate the marriage of  Prince Ludwig of Bavaria and Princess Therese von Sachsen-Hildburghausen in 1810. Though the original Oktoberfest lasted less than a week (October 12–17), today the festival is more readily celebrated between mid-September and early October in the U.S. to accommodate weather concerns.

Whether this is your first Oktoberfest or you’re a seasoned sauerkraut-fiend, join us in raising a brew-filled Bavarian bierstein mug to these Oktoberfest events in our region. Cheers — or as the Germans say, “Prost!”

Walter De Maria: Truck Trilogy

dem-black-truck-aDia Art Foundation in Beacon, NY presents Walter De Maria’s Truck Trilogy in Dia:Beacon. Begun in 2011 and completed posthumously, the Truck Trilogy consists of three classic Chevrolet pickup trucks, which have been stripped of all extraneous elements and details. Placed vertically in the trucks’ flatbeds are circular, square, and triangular polished-stainless-steel rods. Similar to De Maria’s Bel Air Trilogy (2000–11), the Truck Trilogy juxtaposes the elegant lines of mid-century American industrial design with the geometric vocabulary that underscores more than fifty years of the artist’s practice. This installation is organized as part of a year of programming in celebration of Walter De Maria’s art, marking the fortieth anniversary of The Lightning Field, The New York Earth Room, and The Vertical Earth Kilometer, each commissioned by Dia and completed in 1977.

Support for the fabrication of Truck Trilogy was provided by Gagosian Gallery.
