What: 23rd annual Chili Bowl Fest fundraiser
When: Saturday, February 29 from 2-7 p.m.
Where: Dining hall at SUNY Ulster campus, 491 Cottekill Road in Stone Ridge
Early bird attendees will have first pick of the one-of-a-kind, handmade ceramic bowls the chili is served in and pay a $10 admission fee from 2-4 p.m. Later arrivals will have free admission from 4-7 p.m.
Nearly 1,000 handmade ceramic bowls, mugs and tumblers will be available for purchase, each with a serving of chili donated by local restaurants. For those who don’t want to eat out of their bowl at the event, paper bowls are available, as are paper bowls of chili at nominal cost for those not buying ceramics. Live music heightens the camaraderie and raffles are offered. The event will also include live music and raffles. There is a $15 minimum for credit card purchases.
