HUDSON VALLEY LIGHT IT UP BLUE 2018 CELEBRATION!

This year, all proceeds will benefit AMOC, the Autism Move-A- Thon of Orange County.

Formed in 2004, AMOC strives to support families who cope with Autism and related disorders. These families face their struggle often in isolation and at great personal hardship. AMOC aims to raise public awareness of Autism through seminars and media campaigns in Orange County. AMOC works to provide information and networks to help empower families and the community, so that we can better address the unique and troubling challenges of this health problem. AMOC also aims to raise understanding and tolerance in Orange County. We advocate for those people, often voiceless, who might act or look different, who should be respected, and loved for whom they (or we) are.

It’s that time of year again for The Black Dirt Bandits to come rock it out at Angry Orchard! These Hudson Valley natives are known for their country rock swag and their eccentric personalities, and they’ll be here from 7-10pm in our brand new Cider Garden bar at The Stone Barn! Also invited is Fireball Whisky to come and serve up some ice cold samples! Chef Shawn Hubbell from Amuzae Catering will be here with his signature food offerings, and we’ll also be celebrating the one year anniversary of our bourbon barrel-aged Wooden Sleeper with 10% off bottles of that style in the Cider Garden. Be kind to your bartenders, as all tips collected today will go straight to the Wallkill Hook, Ladder and Hose Co.! Don’t miss out on the fireplace, free Fireball, and some Wooden Sleeper to warm your bones! This event is 21 and up and requires a ticket for entry.

Sunnyside: Home of the ‘Legend’

lbtlsigimage3_0Saturday, October 14, 2017 – Sunday, October 15, 2017

At this festive event, Washington Irving’s Sunnyside celebrates its connection to Washington Irving’s classic tale, The Legend of Sleepy Hollow.

A daytime visit here is the perfect prelude to an evening at Blaze, Horseman’s Hollow, or Irving’s ‘Legend.’ Irving’s fascinating home – a colorful blend of architectural styles – will showcase numerous objects related to Irving’s famous story and other tales. Historic games and Headless Horseman art activities are great for families.
