PFALZ POINT TRAIL CHALLENGE

challengeThe Pfalz Point Trail Challenge is a 10-mile benefit run to raise money for Mohonk Preserve, a non-profit organization dedicated to protecting the beautiful Shawangunk Ridge. The proceeds from the 2018 race registration fees and sponsorships will support the restoration and maintenance of the carriage roads. The network of more than 30 miles of carriage roads in Mohonk Preserve serves hundreds of thousands of visitors annually, including hosting races, such as Pfalz Point Trail Challenge.

Date

Sunday September 30, 2018 (rain or shine.) Check in begins at 8:00am. Race starts at 9:00am.

Location

Start and finish at the Mohonk Preserve’s Spring Farm Trailhead on Upper 27 Knolls Road (off Mohonk Road) in High Falls, NY. See course map.

Course

The course offers a rare chance to race on some of the most extraordinary running trails in the U.S., with ten miles of broad open meadows with spectacular views, steep and rocky footpaths, and gently rolling carriage roads. 2017 Hudson River Ramble

The 18th Annual Ramble will take place on September 2/3, 9/10, 16/17, 23/24, 30 and October 1, 2017!

Join the Orange County Chamber of Commerce and HONOR as we host the 19th Annual Orange Open Golf Tournament at the beautiful West Hills Country Club in Middletown, NY. Your participation in this event will not only be enjoyable but will also benefit HONOR  an organization that helps citizens in Orange County who need it the most. Compete in the Corporate Challenge for the Rowley Cup, or enjoy a relaxing day on the course. The tournament is open to all skill levels as there will be three games determined by skill, played on the course throughout the day. There will be lunch, dinner, and a cocktail party with awards.

HONOR (Helping Others Needing Our Resources) is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization located in Middletown, NY.  They provide services such as adult and family shelters, a youth shelter, permanent housing and support services to individuals with HIV/AIDS, transitional housing for homeless, single women as well as addiction and case management services.  The goal for all these services is to help people become independent and self-sufficient by providing the help, counseling and services they need to get themselves there.

Dos Equis Bear Mountain Mogul Challenge

mogul_challengeKillington Resort will host its annual Dos Equis Bear Mountain Mogul Challenge on the slopes of Outer Limits on Saturday, April 8, 2017. This highly-anticipated amateur competition will be judged based on turns and lines, air and speed; recognizing the technical superiority and athletic ability of the competitors. The race is easily accessible from Bear Mountain Lodge, and spectators can watch the action from the outdoor bar on the BML deck. Registration to compete is now open at www.killington.com.

The top 32 men and 16 women will compete in a head-to-head competition, in which the 1st-4th place winners’ names will be engraved on the Bear Mountain Mogul Challenge Trophy. Competitors will be required to have a lift ticket to compete. Discounted lift tickets for competitors will be available for purchase at registration.

The Dos Equis Bear Mountain Mogul Challenge is part of Killington Resort’s Spring NOR’BEASTER event series, which will feature events throughout the Spring season. This includes everything from competitions to giveaways and live music. Divisions include Men and Women ages 13 & under, Men and Women ages 14-20, Men and Women 21-34, Men and Women 35-49, and Men and Women ages 50+. The entry fee for all divisions is $50, which does not include a lift ticket. Online pre-registration will close on April 5, 2017 at 5:00PM or when all spots are filled. Please note that no USSA members registered as competitors in the past five years will be allowed to race.
